A Calcium and Sulfate-Sulfur Fertilizer Solution
Strategic Soil Ca is a granulated, highly soluble source of calcium and sulfate-sulfur. Each granule is designed to break down rapidly when adequate levels of moisture are present, releasing calcium, sulfur, and other trace minerals into the soil profile.
The dissolution rate of Strategic Soil Ca is much faster than traditional calcium sources such as gypsum and limestone. While gypsum is somewhat soluble in water, the dissolution rate depends on several factors including particle size and anhydrite content. Strategic Soil Ca addresses these issues by starting with high-grade gypsum dihydrate and grinding it down to a particle size much smaller than field-spread gypsum or limestone. This extremely fine calcium sulfate is then pelletized with a proprietary blend of binders designed to feed and promote soil biology.
